OUR STORY

OUR STORY

Odd Lobby began as the vision of Jeremy “J.D” Harris, a seasoned engineer with over 20 years of experience and a track record of building multiple recording studios. What started in 2019 as a hybrid company,  blending production, branding, and creative services, grew into a full-scale vision for a dedicated space. As Technical Director and CEO, J.D laid the foundation for Odd Lobby with the idea of creating a production house that went beyond just recording,  a place where artists could find both professional guidance and a true creative community.

From shared passion to a

space for every artist.

Recognizing the need to shape the brand’s identity and expand its creative reach, J.D invited his longtime friend Emma Carpus to join him in bringing Odd Lobby to life. The two first met while Emma was in college studying Fashion Marketing and Management, their shared love for music sparked a friendship that has lasted for more than 14 years. Today, Emma serves as Creative Director and CMO, helping craft the look, feel, and voice of Odd Lobby while ensuring every artist’s story is represented with care.

In 2025, Odd Lobby officially opened its first brick-and-mortar location in Highland Park, Los Angeles, a milestone that transformed years of collaboration into a permanent home. Together, J.D and Emma combine technical expertise and creative vision to make Odd Lobby what it is: a space built by artists, for artists, where sound and identity come together to create work that lasts.
